I have embarked on another 'odd a see' and have decided to document it.
Tonight I find myself in Ann Arbor, Michigan - home of the University of Michigan - a university that employs about 30,000 folks and has a student enrolment of 41,000 - the mind boggles at the amount of alcohol and cannabis needed to fuel this population. Bob Seger graduated from high school here and Tom Brady spent his pre-super model dating days here - all the girls at the Bob Evan's restaurant claimed to have dated him at one time or another .... working on some night moves .....
I am attending the Nikon School of Photography for a two day workshop - yes, I know - why would I, a virtual Yousuf Karsh of the Barbie Cam, need to take such a course. Well, it's like Michael Jordan said, it's all about the basics and the fundamentals - every once in a while you have to go back to square one and do a little dribbling and free throwing to keep sharp - play Go Fish instead of high stakes poker ....
Starting tomorrow, I'll post some photos from the travels west - which should have me, at various times, in Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and back to Michigan. Along with the photos, I'll document the sights and sounds of the road - as sifted through the warped perspective of my cerebral cortex - as only I could see and hear them.
Glad to have you along for the ride ..... fasten your seat belts .... I expect some turbulence ...
